I sure as hell hope these screenshots are not a true reflection of the quality of the actual BD. For these, quite honestly are worse than a good quality DVD. The same goes for the screenshots of 'A Wednesday' and 'Fashion'. I suppose I should wait to see the actual BDs before passing final judgement. But, these screenshots surely do not look promising.

I, on the other hand, think the screen shots look quite good. Although it looks like they applied heavy DNR, making the skin tones look waxy. If there are no other issues like incorrect black levels that we've seen in many bollywood blu's, this may be a pretty decent transfer.

19 GB. Holy crap. What is MB going to do to the 30 GB saved? Seems to be as if MB is creating a platform to cram 3 movies in 1 disc...Nonsense (if its true).

MoserBaer, which ironically manufactures 'BD / DVD / CD' media as their primary business, in their infinite wisdom and for the sake of quality, specially since their Prices are so low, only "Rs. 799 = US $18"
![]() Ofcourse when you try to fit a 159 min. movie in 19GB, it does not leave you room to put more than a '448kbps DD 5.1' audio track. But don't fret, after all you still have the awesome sounding '192 kbps DD 2.0' track to enjoy on your shining new HD Audio Receiver. Quote:
![]() I think we can safely start the countdown for this to happen. |

Yea if it is true...then its ridiculous. MB is making a mockery of the whole concept of Blu-Ray. Now I would love to hear from all those members here, who wanted that the producers & content providers be given an opportunity to be a part of this forum. What are they going to say about this pristine HQ Audio & Video & 14 GB of Blu-Ray content. I think all the Hollywood Studios should take inspiration from MB & start Cost Cutting measures. Because as someone commented in Fashion Blu-Ray thread about the quality as great, so if lengthy Bollywood movies can be presented in HQ in 14.5 GB, then DVD9 would be enough for Holly studios to present their material in pristine HQ quality. So they should altogether stop churning out Blu-Rays!

they should get in trouble if those specs are correct because it states on the cover art of all their titles that there is DTS HD master audio and english subtitles. and you can tell by the screenshots that the aspect ratio is not 1:85:1.

HEY guyz i will like to tell you that RACE the movie itself didnt had a DTS sound track it just had a DOLBY soundtrack so i dont think dts hd was possible bt they could have used dolby true hd or something bt they shold have worked on picture.......they are the manufacturers of media itself so they should have used dual layer bd........bt they fit the movie in 19gb.......+ 800rs price tag.....its not gonna work...........

whatever we say guys and yes i know we are technically right but if you ask to a shop keeper then he/she will tell you that people have blind faith that MB will give them best quality in low price though it is not but all customers are not like us...... they just want dvd or blue ray.... they even dont know that DD and DTS are different.....
so whatever we say this is a business and its all about making profit and cost cutting and that is what MB is doing....... i hope anybody from MB is reading this......!!!!!!!! |

The codec used for the theatrical release has nothing to do with the codecs chosen to be on the BD. For the purpose of the BD, they are supposed to use the original lossless audio master which was used to encode for the theatrical release. Thus for the BD they can enoced the audio in LPCM, DTS-HD MA or Dolby TrueHD. Bottom line is, that whether the film was encoded in DTS or not for the theatrical release, has no bearing on the codec used for the BD release.

Moser Baer thinks that people are watching blu-rays on 19'' CRTs hooked up to a boombox. HDTVs are far less forgiving to an inferior product than SDTVs. They are charging 800 rupees for a 100 rupee product. As I said before, they can't even make quality blank media, do you think they can make a proper blu-ray? The bitrates on some of their releases are shameful. Perhaps they are practicing for potential 3 in 1 blu-rays, to see how much they can cram.
