Arrow Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

Quote:
March 16, 2010 - The newest issue of GamePro magazine teases the upcoming reveal of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, the newest Spidey title expected to be released this year. No details about what platform the title will appear on are available at this time.

Last summer, Activision CEO Mike Griffith confirmed during a company conference call a new Spider-Man game will be released in 2010. No other details were revealed at that time. Activision hopes this year's title turns the floundering series around for good. CEO Bobby Kotick said in a recent interview the publisher's Spiderman games "have sucked" for the past five years.

We do know Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions won't be developed by former Spider-Man: Web of Shadows developer Shaba Games. Activision closed the studio last October during a company-wide restructure. IGN has contacted Activision for more information. We'll update this story when we hear back.

I had no idea another Spider-Man game was in the making, looking forward to seeing some trailers!

Haven't played Web of Shadows but I read it wasn't too good.

It was 10000 times better than FoF.

FoF = Friend or Foe. Pretty awful

Web of Shadows was very glitchy, but the combat and motion flow was the best ever in a Spider-Man game. Interested to see what Shattered Dimensions brings us.

Basic rule of thumb is that Activision will always make sequels for its properties, as long as there is even a little profit to be had from them.

Friend or Foe?

Boycott Bobby Kotick. Boycott Activision.

I enjoyed Web of Shadows, it wasn't great, but a decent play through. The voice acting however was terrible.

I'll give the next one a shot if it looks good from trailers/previews.

Ok. I haven't played that one as well. Last Spider-Man game I played was Spider-Man 3.

Web of Shadows was fun but doesn't have a crazy punch that's been missing in the spidey game world...hopefully this one will bring it

I agree, Web of Shadows wasn't bad. It was ok. It definitely could have been better (then again it could have been worse). I enjoyed (it's definitely a huge improvement over Friend or Foe). I just hope they don't take a step backwards with this new title.

Web of Shadows was pretty good. If they new one is just as good I will probably end up picking it up. I'm hoping it's a least twice as good.

Default Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions Trailer

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions Trailer

Looks like it could be good. Spider-Man 2 has been my favorite so far. Didn't play FoF and only a demo of WoS but I played SM 1-3 and the first two on the PS1 (great games for the time).

It definitely looks like they are going for an Arkham Asylum type game. Looks interesting, but the graphics don't look that good, hopefully it was just the trailer.

Yeah, I definitely got the feel of AA when I watched the trailer. I agree with the graphics; it might be one of those games that goes on every single game system so they won't bother with the potential of the more powerful consoles.

I am really interested to find out what the other two 'dimensions' are.

Gamespot has some info on it and they said it looks good in motion so maybe it was just the trailer.

I have a feeling it will be the Ultimate and 2099 universes. Also, here's the link to the article (that also shows a trailer: LINK

Good read! 2099 sounds cool but I don't see Ultimate and Amazing being different enough from each other. The stories are different but the look and gameplay might not be.
