quick question about samsung 8500 series - Blu-ray Forum

Hi, I just order samsung 46" 8500 from amazon, my question, is the stand come preinstalled out of the box ?? Or I have to install it myself ?? thanks

it should come straight out of the box with the stand attached. no assembly required.

Newer model Samsung (and even Sony) displays don't come with the pedestal attached. It's simple to screw on (just take your time).

If you look at the box, you'll notice how slim the box is (when I bought the LN-40B630, the box was very, very slim and it was because the pedestal wasn't attached to it. The same story with my 40 XBR9). Like I stated before, attaching to pedestal to the display is only about 4 screws and a few minutes of your time (my advice is to take your time doing it so you don't cause any damage).

I just bought my 46" UN46B8500 and the stand DOES NOT come attached. You have to screw it on yourself. It takes 5-7 minutes tops. Easy install.
