Looking for Depeche Mode sacd's

I have tried my hardest to find these at a reasonable price, but to no avail. If anyone has some they are looking to unload, please let me know. I already have some, but let me know what you have.

Which don't you have? HMV Japan has Violator in stock and works out to around US$55 if you're getting just that.

Violator is one that I want, along w/Black Celebration, but $55 is a bit more than I wanted to spend. I have gotten some from Amazon UK in the past, but never finished getting them all. Now I am paying the price, I guess. I don't even see them on ebay either.

I bought "Construction Time Again" today in a Belgian shop for about 30$. The vendor said it were definately the latest copies available in Belgium.

Also seen "Songs Of Faith And Devotion", "Ultra", "Speak And Spell" and "Music For The Masses".

I'm looking for Human League "Dare". If someone here wants to change "Dare" for some of the titles mentioned here above I would be very happy.

"Dare" totally disappeared. Even not in second hand shops, ebay, amazon,... etc.

Hope one day SACD or Blu-ray Audio (including a stereotrack 2.0) become mainstream. For regular hi-fi systems. 5.1 surround is a bridge to far for the average customer, who just wants to play music through his hi-fi. They should add a 2.0 stereotrack with every release.

Why new albums didn't get a HD treat? Because they sound too bad and too loud. Some albums seem to be mp3-quality these days.

Anyone tried blu-spec audio. Heard there's no difference in sound?

Yes I got The Temper Trap's "Science of Fear" CD-single from Japan which is Blu-spec.

There is ZERO difference at all. It's still 16-bit/44.1kHz PCM. I only got it because it was $13 on Amazon, so I wanted to get one just to try it, despite knowing full well that Blu-spec means nothing in terms of sonics, haha.

Blu Spec is not Blu ray audio!!! It's just an Asian marketingtrick to sell more cd's to audiophiles. Led isn't Led but LCD too ...

I'm surprised considering you're a huge fan. The SACDs are I have are absolutely amazing compared to standard CDs.

I just received confirmation that my order for Music for the Masses from Amazon UK just shipped. Should be here in a week or so. I got it for around $22. This is an excellent price.

LOL! That's probably the one I cancelled after they sent me a redbook cd in an Ultra SACD package! Eventually got the right one.

Congrats, man! But, check that CD carefully when you get it...

Of course the first thing I do is I check when I buy an SACD if it is actually an SACD not a redbook CD. Are you saying you got the older version of SACD/CD + DVD of Ultra but the contents were actually just CD + DVD? I'm asking this because there is a newer version which is CD + DVD only and the package is 99% the same except for the SACD logo.

They sent me an opened package (first bad sign) of DMCD9 (with all the SACD logos on it). The CD itself was DMCDX9, which is the redbook issue.

You're right, the first bad sign was the open package. I can accept that Amazon UK can accidentally send the wrong version (this has happened a few times with me at Amazon here in the US) but sending an opened one is definitely not good! I consider any opened CD a used product.

the redbook thing is confusing at times. Are any CD's with the X on it redbook and not sacd?

good luck getting black celebration sacd at a decent price, ive been caught with one, i have the deluxe version.
I have all the sacd of the depeche albums but cant wait for a blu ray release now. Depeche are my favorite all time band.
