I've been fiddling for months now with the settings of my Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD70F to find the optimal settings and one option that keeps bugging me, is whether or not to set the image to dynamic, normal or auto?
With dynamic, the contrast is (artificially) pumped up, giving a, well, more dynamic picture with bright colors. It almost gives a 3D effect to the image. With normal/auto, the colors seem more muted compared to the dynamic setting, but I noticed it shows a bit more detail in the white-tones, that gets lost in the pumped up contrast of the dynamic settings (like tiny gray lines a cloud and so on). to dynamic or not to dynamic, that is the question ... Any suggestions on optimal settings for this Panasonic for Blu-ray viewing and gaming? |
