Taiwan Say Yes (2001) - Excellent thriller from Korea

Beyond Hollywood Review

There are conflicting reviews on the net, but I personally found Say Yes to be a very good thriller. The words on the Korean movie poster says "Tell me to kill your woman if you want to live..." That's basically what the movie boils down to. The PQ on this Taiwan Blu-ray was surprisingly good. Although all the Korean Blu-rays from BitWel that I've seen had been DVD upconverts, this one seem almost real high def. This is by far the best PQ of any Korean Blu-rays from BitWel. Together with excellent story and cheap price, it's easy to give this title high recommendation.

Video: 1080p24 AVC encoded 1.78:1
Audio: Korean PCM 5.1 or DD 5.1
Subtitles: Optional traditional or simplified Chinese and English
Extras: Trailer for To Sir, with Love

Sorry for asking, but what does it mean that the track is "unwrapped"?

I think he means mono track upconverted to 5.1.

sorry, don't know if it's an official term (we use it here in The Netherlands); problem with the sound is that all speakers (front, rear, centre) deliver the same sound, even dialogue so you hear people speaking from your rears, front and centre at the same time, very annoying

so the sound track is not "unwrapped" in it's seperated tracks for front, centre and rear

the way I understand it's a fault of the studio, so not caused by a setting on your BR player or receiver

I don't remember how it originally came on my radar but I recall reading a couple reviews for this a few years back and wanting to check it out, but it fell by the wayside. From what I gathered it seems to be very much in the vein of The Hitcher?

"Say Yes", I got this one, it's a movie to bring you the pressure to hold your breath. It's a good movie, but don't watch it if you are not ready to take the pressure.

It's region A, but some BitWel's blu-ray titles are region free, so it might be region free. You can find it through JSDVD, it's only US$9.3. But International shipping costs you over $10.
Are you ready to "Say Yes" to it?

I can only handle region B... if it were region free I'd blindbuy it.
Those Koreans know how to make movies! Sorry for the positive generalization

All BitWel/Sheng Chi movies to date have been Region Free. However, all but Queens of Langkasuka, have been DVD upconverts.

I don't have this title, but other members have reported that this is not an upconvert. Do a search in this section.
