COD7? IGN seems to think it's about Fallout: New Vegas...

Why are we jumping to 7 when 6 isn't out yet. And I dont think MW2 was considered the 6th. It was just part 2 of MW. Am I correct or no

its the most confusing issue... whether or not the CoD franchise number system applies to all...

i still look at it as

4: MW
5: W@W
6: MW2 even though they didnt use the CoD name

soo yeh 7 will be it.... i NEVER refer to it as cod 6 or cod 5 but when i hear them i know what it means

Activision recently fired two top execs from Infinity Ward and created a new Call of Duty unit. I think they're working on an MMORPG version of Call Of Duty now, considering Blizzard merged with Activision and how much revenue monthly subscriptions can generate. Maybe the next COD will be an MMO that mercilessly steals every moment of our lives for the sake of the next raid, next drop or the next level Might be pretty cool though who knows...

Update: It appears the decrypted information sent to gaming outlets yesterday points to news surrounding Activision's newest Call of Duty title or possibly Singularity.

Me too. There is the Main series which you posted and then what I like to call is the sub series that has

Call of duty finest hour
Call of duty 2: The Big Red One
Call of duty (something I cant remember) psp
Call of duty 4 modern warfare reflex or just COD4 reflex
and a couple of versions of COD for ps2.

If there anymore than that I cant remember.

Speaking of which, what are the versions of Windows? I know there are actually more than 7 iterations.

1. Windows
2. Windows 2 (which I've never heard of, except for on a Mac commercial)
3. Windows 3.1 (there was probably Windows 3.0, too)
4. Windows 95
5. Windows 98
NT1. Windows NT
NT2. Windows 2000
6. Windows ME
(?). Windows XP
(?). Windows Vista
(?). Windows 7

And then there are the ton of Windows Mobile versions, too.

If they go MMO with this I think I will be officially done with this franchise.

The $15 price point on the new DLC really pisses me off, the company should be doing something to thank us for our support and helping them smash all sales records, not jack up prices on DLC.... Activision has always been greedy but thats just too much for me.

If cod7 (if that's what it is) has half the glitches and killstreaks mw2 has, I might play it. I always refer to modern warfare as "cod4" since it does have 4 in the title, then "world at war" and "mw2" after that.

I really am not a big fan of Infinity Ward/Activision. Calling a $15 DLC "stimulus package" takes balls. Which should be cut off, since almost half the DLC is recycled. Treyarch's World at War definitely has some nitpicks, but they did a solid job, and I loved the dismemberment in the way people died. If they can improve on the big maps and make tanks (if they have them) a little more balanced (a la bc2, where a tank can go down before it even rolls 5 feet) then it could really be great.

And let's not forget Nazi Zombies. They got that right too, imo.
