I noticed at the bottom of the page it said not paid for or endorsed by Hd Dvd. This site is a load of BS and is obviously a fan boy site. I'm thinking that M$ or Univer$al had something to do with this.

Rotting discs or "disc rot" was a term that came from DVDs having that issue (even today). Since HD DVD is built on DVD's technology, it is more likely to rot than a Blu-ray disc.

this one made me chuckle: “The fact that Blu-ray movies so far have been restricted to a 25 GB format has resulted in a somewhat lower HD quality than the VC-1 encoded movies on 30 GB HD DVD disks.”.....cuz VC-1 is the shit I guess....lol

Liars affiliated with liars.

Toshiba Sounds New HD DVD War Cry

Quote:
Toshiba has sounded a warning to Blu-ray, marking a new battlefront by claiming the HD DVD format is not only technologically superior but is dramatically outstripping Blu-ray sales globally.
BS:

How is a format pushed specifically BECAUSE it is an easy step from HD DVD technologically superior to a brand new format with higher capacity and higher bandwith, and already 2x-6x faster at recordables than the technologically "superior" format. Complete and utter joke.

Lie:

Blu-ray the movie disc format, where we measure success or failure in disc sales not arbitrarily filtered hardware measurements, is 2:1 in North America, and 3:1 in the rest of the world.

Quote:
To bolster the competitive positioning of HD DVD, Whittard raised what he described as Blu-ray disks' greater propensity for scratching and ‘disk rot' due to the thin protective film layer, and its sensitivity to movement.
Lie and lie.

Blu-ray has FAR, FAR less PROPENSITY for scratching due to the hard coat. If, and that's big if, it were scratched it probably does have more SENSITIVITY to being damaged by a scratch.

And the disc rot all comes from ONE picture. Where is the second?

LOL, I was just going to check that myself.

It looks like it is anonymous registration. The libelous a-hole clearly doesn't want his identity known.

Anyone notice the lack of (specifically) anti-HD DVD sites as well as the lack of pro HD DVD sites?

How the heck did these fools ever expect to win a marketing war when they do nothing but mention the competitor in EVERY SINGLE PRESS RELEASE?

Blu-ray: We're excited about ourselves, and here's the cool things

HD DVD: Let's all hate Blu-ray together.

As I always said, convincing someone not to buy Blu-ray doesn't mean they'd buy HD DVD.

If it didn't cost me so much in postage and long distance (international for me in Canada) I'd call these F@CKERS and try to have a conversation with them using the facts. See how long they last saying things like, "whatever", "yeah, so" and "you don't know what you're talking about". Anybody in U.S. on a good long distance plan willing to do it on our behalf? Maybe if they get enough calls challenging their information they'll pull it from the web?

I for one am happy that these people are finally showing blu ray for how evil it really is. I am blu ray exclusively and now I find out that my wisdom teeth have 2 major cavaties in my wisdom teeth. coincidence? I think not. damn you blu ray. and i'm broke too. to many good titles. I need to go hd dvd exclusive so I can not buy movies since only 1 major supports them exclusively.

thank you to these sites for making bull$hit believable
