Default It is time to act!

We need to make a stand for this war. TODAY! Everyone go out and buy one movie! Just one! Then come back and sign up for the BUY-A-THON. We need to show them that we mean it!

P.S.
Avoid Paramount movies

I just sent an email of disappointment over to the addresses that were at the bottom of the Viacom press release from the other thread.

Don't boycott whatever Paramount Blu-Rays are out there. Buy them to show your support for the BD format.

I dont think buying movies from other studios will work. First off, MS and Toshiba and the HD-DVD group are probably paying Paramount the difference in sales lost plus some. The best way to fight this is to send a letter...be nice.. and state that this is only harming the consumer. Words along those lines. If we flood their mail boxes that is more of a response than anything else.

with all due respect i don't really think Paramount will really care what you say in a letter or email unless it has 200 million in it.

Listen guys, as much as I want blu-ray to win, buying more blu-ray titles will not give me Transformers come Christmas time.

Consider that no matter who wins, there will be millions of losers. If the world agrees on blu-ray, then we still need combo players so the HD-DVD camp can recoup with dignity. The total of the movie collection is greater than the cost of the player.

God forbid that we loose, I would still want to see a Sony Combo players so I don't see half of my hard earned money go down the toilet on ebay. We need to beat HD-DVD, but not leave them without hope.

Solution in my eyes: Go exclusive blu-ray, and support HD-DVD with combo players to spare the loss of movies. But do NOT make any more HD-DVD.
