Default Decided to test the waters at AVS...

HEY GUYS,

i decided to test the waters over at the avs forums and this is what i posted

HDDVD STANDS FOR....

H.........D..........D..........U........D

HERE IS WHY YOU SHOULD HAVE PARAMOUNT......

1) ENJOY WATCHING TRANSFORMERS ON HDDUD, BECAUSE I WILL BE GETTING MINE FROM ANOTHER REGION ON BD. "turned out to be its not possible. i guess i will be getting mine on DVD."
2) PARAMOUNT JOINING HDDUD IS A GREAT IDEA, BD DOESN'T NEED THEM FOR WE HAVE SONY, FOX AND DISNEY.
3) YOU DON'T HAVE SONY, FOX AND DISNEY.
4) NO FINDING NEMO FOR YOU, NO SPIDEY FOR YOU, AND NO SIMPSONS AND DIE HARD FOR YOU.
5) YOU CAN ENJOY SEASON ONE OF THE ORIGINAL STAR TREK WHICH BY THE WAY COST MORE THAN AN HD DUD PLAYER.....http://www.dvdtown.com/news/press-re...621......WHICH IS BY THE WAY ABOUT 211 BUCKS FOR THE DISCS PPPPPPHHH
6) NO PCM FOR YOU
7) ENJOY YOU XBOX 36O ADD ON BECAUSE IT DOESN'T PLAY A LOT OF THIER HD DUD'S MOVIES.
8) HMMMMMMMMMM.....WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY.....
9) THEIVES PREFER BD DISCS OVER HD DUDS DISCS....
10) BD SALES BEAT HD DUD 2 :1
11) NO SCRATCH RESISTANCE FOR YOUR DISCS......
12) NO CARS, FINDING NEMO, MONSTER INC., JUNGLE BOOK, AND DEFINITELY ALL DISNEY MOVIES AND MIRAMAX WHICH INCLUDE KILL BILL 1 AND 2.
13) 300 ON BD BEAT 3OO ON HDUD....
14) COMBO DISCS, BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF BEFORE LYING BUT WASN'T COMBO DISCS ON DVD A PAIN IN THE ASS, EVERYTIME I GOT A DOUBLE SIDED DVD DISC IT FELT LIKE I SHOULD PUT THE DISC IN THE MICROWAVE OR THE OVEN, AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS TO IT.....
15) NO PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN ON HDDUD.
16) NO SPEILBERG FILMS EXCLUSIVE ON HDDUD, AS A MATTER OF FACT BD WILL BE GETTING CLOSE ENCOUNTER OF THE THIRD KINDS ON BD EXCLUSIVELY.....
17) PS3 FAILURE RATE IS LESS THAN .O2%......http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,13.........COMPARED TO XBOX 360, WHICH BY THE I AM ON MY 7TH ONE. NOT TO FORGET MS SPENT CLOSE TO 30%.....http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/gaming/xb...ers-271487.php............
18) HMMMMMMM.....WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY NOW THAT YOUR ASS "HDDUD" IS NOTHING BUT A CREAM CHEESE.
19) PIRATES ON BD VS. MATRIX ON HD BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THE MATRIX. PIRATES BEING FAMILY ORIENTED, WHICH BY THE WAY THE MAJORITY 55% OF CUSTOMERS GOING TO THEATRES SUPPORT FAMILY ORIENTED RELEASES.....http://www.engadgethd.com/2007/06/01...ments/5210782/.
20) BD SO FAR KICKED HD DUD'S ASS BY SOOOOOOO MUCH.....WHY DO YOU STILL SUPPORT HDDUD. ARE YOU STILL PRO HD DUD AFTER THIS POST......I KNOW I WILL BE BANNED SINCE BD IS MY FAMILY...BUT IF I GET BANNED AND REMOVED THAT MEANS I SAID/MENTIONED THE RIGHT THING....DON'T BAN ME IF I AM RIGHT FOR THAT IS CENSORSHIP. I HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH BEING A HUMAN BEING SO ENLIGHTEN ME WHY I SHOULD TURN HD DUD SUPPORTER. WHICH BY THE WAY I WILL NOT....BY YOU DELETING/BANNING ME YOU PROVED ME TO BE RIGHT. SO ENJOY THIS LESSON IN LIFE FOR I WILL BE LAUGHING WHEN BD WINS.....

let me know if i did a good job pulling this off.......i thought this would be something we need in order to have a sense of enlightenment how close minded the fanboys are........

enjoy it while you can.........

here is the link.....hopefully you will see it before i am banned from the avs forums....

I didn't read your whole post, but according to IMDB, Paramount/Dreamworks have the video rights to Transformers in ALL territories. So, you won't be getting a BD from another region.

Now, I'm sure some resourceful person will rip the HD DVD and remaster it for burning onto BD-R/RE, and that will end up distributed via the internet... but that wouldn't be legal so I would never condone that.

Shit I would condone it. Hell, I would pay $200 for a copy of transformers on blu ray in light of the recent backstabbing.

Besides the excessive use of capitals and a few incorrect facts..... looks good.

the issue is the guys over at the avs forums are attacking me. although i clearly stated that i am a BD supporter. yet i am trying to see why they claim to see HDDVD is better than BD. and so far all i got from them was sony is evil. WHAT ABOUT MICROSOFT? HAVEN'T MS PAYED PARAMOUNT TO BE EXCLUSIVE TO HDDVD? SO FAR SONY HAVE BEEN PLAYING THE GAME FAIR AND SQUARE.

They didn't respond to you because you were not going to listen to anything they said anyways. When your first sentence is:
Quote:

H.........D..........D..........U........D
What kind of civil, open exchange of ideas were you expecting? If you want them to respect you, then you have to show them respect, regardless if you believe they deserve it or not. Considering the huge insult you opened up with, they went fairly easy on you.

I do condone it!

Paramount deserves to have their movies ripped and put onto BD-R's

They took a long time to answear your questions about why they support hd-dvd over blu-ray? and the best they came up with was transformers and cheap players and films! They seem to live in there own dream world personally!Everyone know the blu is out selleing the red!I would just leave it and dont bother wasting your time over there.

I read what baccusboy had to say stating that Sony should pull the reins on this site for bad PR? Sounds like someone was a little upset at getting banned.

that was the idea. my first post to bluray.com wasn't that positive, it was negative, although i was pro BD to begin with i just wanted to test the waters before swimming, if you know what i mean. some people took an offense to it but they at the same time tried to debate with me, or explain to me why they favor BD over HDDVD.

i wanted to see what they would say to me. I did expect cheap players and films. in terms of cheap players i agree with them, yes their players are cheap, yet their movies is a complete rip offs. the combo discs cost 34.99 in the states but BD's cost about 24.99. that is about 10 bucks cheaper. its nothing but a crock of shit....

Well... all their post-exclusive stuff will be in my library. Even if I don't like it. Rememeber, like mysig says. There is no HD DVD exclusivity.

Piracy works when there is a niche. Shutting down a couple of million people from having access from your product when there is no technological barrier is music to a pirate's ears.

Just remember we still don't condone illegal copying not even from Paramount and by stirring up FUD.com only gives them an excuse to come over here and do the same - you don't have to waste your time running around cleaning up after them we do!

It maybe an idea not to pick a fight with an idiot as they drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience. If you must go and stir up trouble over there, please don't come back here bragging about it as one of them will see it, go and complain to their mates and before we know it we have a flood of them over here.

Exactly, don't stoop to the level that HD DVDers do.

And bootlegging their stuff is not the answer. Either buy it, or don't watch it. Or at the very least make sure you buy it used so it doesn't add to their numbers if you must. Vote with your words, vote with your wallet.

How is this testing the waters? This is just plain trolling. Useless when someone does it here and just as useless if someone here goes and does it elsewhere.

Being a Troll, spreading FUD or otherwise post false information is just stupid no matter which side you are on.
