Default Game with max eye-candy effect?

I'm new at PS3 games ... which game would should off the BD best? (Good graphics - excellent sound - or something ...) ... wouldn't hurt if it's a good game as well ... thanks for any hints!

( Can also be something that'll be out very soon ... )

The Darkness was rather impressive. But honestly, I have not played too many games.

Don't play games for eye candy. Play them because you like the game.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a very pretty game with excellent gameplay (though more difficult than some folks prefer their games to be).

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is one of the few 1080p-capable titles, and it's really gorgeous. Pretty good game, too, particularly if you like comic books.

I'm also quite fond of the 1080p resolution on the PSN download Super Stardust HD. Amazing game with great music and phenomenal graphics.

Upcoming titles that have great promise graphically:
Lair
Heavenly Sword
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Folklore
Assassin's Creed
Call of Duty 4
Haze
Unreal Tournament III

I'm not joking here but Transformers looks good. It's in 1080p but a lot of people don't like it because it's not their kind of game.

I 2nd this for gameplay. Probably my all time favorite game next to R6 Vegas. Go figure, I'm more of a PC gamer, but these 2 are just excellent.

Stardust is pure eye-candy. (Download from PSN). Simple and fun - and it looks like Fourth of July on your T.V.

Ninja Guiden easily has the best graphics. Resistance and Motorstorm probably second. The Darkness graphics were nothing special..

Most of the good games are coming out between now and xmas (and beyond).

I think the bet is yet to come. I mean when you think abot it as we all know, the best titles dont come out til the q4 . Sony has a pretty impresive line up on the way . Keep an eye out for titles like Ratchet-n-clank for good game play and nice visuals to boot .

right now i would say if you like action (slicing heads off, etc) get Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Great game, great visuals.

Try the Playstation store, download the demos especially DIRT and the Demo for Gran Turismo HD (GT5). Although they are short play the eye candy is definetely there. You can also download the Ninja Gaiden demo also. Since your new to PS3 games check the ratings. The gore factor is high is some games, I was trying out Ninja Gaiden while the kids were in the room and one move in particular I performed a clean cut to the head! Not to mention the blood slinging across the walls...etc...

Super Rub-A-Dub from the PSN. It's the best $3 you'll ever spend.

When you saw a ninja with blades and the M rating, what did you think you were getting yourself into?

I think Oblivion looks great in HD. The demos for Heavenly Sword and Folklore also look really good.
