Panasonic Wants You in "Live in HD"

Posted August 1, 2007 by Josh

Blu-ray Disc Panasonic has announced a program in association with the Center for Urban Research and Policy at Columbia University to set up 30 families with the ultimate HD lifestyles. Once all entries are received for the program, Director Brett Ratner and Writer/Director/Actor Kevin Smith will select the families based creativity of their submission. The selected families will the receive $20,000 in HD products, including a Panasonic Blu-ray disc player, and will document their experiences while using the equipment.

The families will participate in monthly challenges and must participate in frequent surveys and interviews to assess any changes due to their new HD environment. The program will continue in the future by way of a grant from Panasonic to fund three families a year after the initial year.
