Can't connect to PS3 network. - Blu-ray Forum

Anybody else having this problem? Just today I can't sign in to PS3 network. I check my status list and it shows I am connected to my router and signal strenght is excellent. And my internet is up. But I just time out when I try to sign in.

It's probably hosed from everyone trying to get warhawk. I'm not at home or I would check.

it only does that if you have to update your system before signing in.

Probably from what the second poster said that the network is just a little overwhemled right now.

It says "A connection to the internet could not be established. Please check network settings". When I go to network settings it says connection enabled, signal strenght 100%. I tried to go to system update but got the same error message.

Have you tried the browser to see if you can load websites?

I can't use my browser either. Says Page cannot be displayed, network error.

When you say your router, are you connected wirelessly? It is possible that for some reason even if wired that your PS3 has been given a bad IP address. It is therefore connected to your network but not the internet. There are ways to possibly fix it through configuration but the easiest thing to do is to unplug everything: PS3, modem, and router. Wait 30 seconds or so then turn on your modem, wait for it to fully power up then turn on the router and once that is fully up turn on your PS3. Good Luck.

You can PM me if you are still getting the error as I will probably need more info on your setup if the above steps do not work.

Whenever I try to do the connection test I always time out on the obtaining IP address part. I'll try disconnecting everything like you said.

It worked! Thanks for the help guys. Just re-plugged everything and that was all I needed.

this happens to mine :@ very annoying! it will be working fine and then the next day no luck what so ever!
