We need blu-ray vending machines. Insert your credit card and out drops the movie of your choice from the curly wire.

But this would make returns much more difficult.

"Hey, which blu-ray movie you getting?"
"I dunno. Which ones are fresh?"

Nice. If that thing gets knocked over, ouch!

I hope they start pushing some other movies. Those are the same ones as last X-Mas.

at our retail location we have that display, weve had it for almost a year! It works great and we have it next to a 46"sony w3000 with an hdmi connection, and the newest demo disc playing. Its right off the main aisle with three theatre seats. It definately generates some buzz. We actually sell a lot of the bdps300 that sits on it. It is very solid fixture, toshiba rep came in and was pissed we feature it off the aisle while the a2 is in the back. We told him to get us a cool fixture like sony provided and well feature hd dvd. As you may assume, toshiba never gave us anything for display.

Well you can certainly tell that Sony is one of the favorite customers of this business.

ha. toshiba rep at my store was trying to sweet talk me into HD DVD by saying how it can connect to the internet (big whoop) and that ppl who are undecided can buy a combo disc.... didnt have good points at all. anyway, my CC has 3!!! blu ray set ups thanks to everyone pushing the bdps300 hehe. 1 hd dvd on display and one that is defective and about 5 open box hd dvd a2's. horrible players. one thing i do want with that stand is make sure its next to the xbr4... mmmm yummy goodness.

Default We're finally getting a display

I finally ordered the Sony S300 for my store, and soon I'll be pushing to ordering an XBR4 as a store display. It'll be our first HD player on display, but most of our customers always ask more about Blu-ray, plus the Blu-ray trailer plays all day on all the TVs. I just wish the Sony and Samsung reps showed up more often, they really help.

...as far as movies go, we have a small BD display with about 20 different titles (new ones mainly), and only 2 HD-DVD titles (Happy Feet and that new Paramount movie).

We really can't wait to get the S300 in, so we can plug it into either the XBR, or the 52" Samsung or Sharp (the Samsung rep will probably flip when she sees a Sony BD player on a Samsung LCD, lol).

...by the way, it's a small level 3 Sears store.

Anyone know if they're sending those to all targets this oct?

Sience target went to sony and they rented endcaps i'm not sure what it's going to look like. Perhaps there will be more than 1 of those stands in each target store...can't wait to see the set-up and how quickly it moves bd's.
