Default WOW - New BLOCKBUSTER "Rewards" Program -

Blockbuster has now started a new "Rewards Program" which costs $9.95 a year which sounds like a great deal. For your $9.95, besides the new Blue Blockbuster Membership Cards, you get -

1) 12 FREE rentals a year (1 a month). This includes all Blu Ray movies except a very few "brand new releases". These are absolutley free, you dont have to rent anything to get these.

and

2) up to 24 FREE rentals a year (all Blu Ray movies INCLUDING NEW RELEASES). You get one of these automatically with every 5 rentals of any kind dvd.

and

3) An UNLIMITED NUMBER of Free Rentals, one Free rental with each Paid rental, Monday through Wednesday. This works out fine because ALL Blu Ray movie rentals are good for 1 week. So I will go early in the week to rent movies for the comming weekend.

And keeping track of all this is a cinch, because it all prints out automatically on the bottom of your receipt so you dont have to remember anything (except to get to Block Buster).

I want to watch ALL the Blu Rays they have (and they have about 200 now) so this is going to save me quite a bit of money so I can BUY my Blu Ray favorites !!!!!!!

yeah if you are a heavy renter then Blockbuster's rewards program is a definite plus. I personally don't rent movies much.

Yep, now on my 4th freebie, renting exclusively BD games & PS3 movies. Well worth the $10 / year.

I think the total access is a little better especially if you live close enough to a blockbuster I can get up to 6 movies a week

They are also doing a good job promoting Blu-ray. I just drove by one and there is a large poster on the window right next to the entrance that said "Blu-ray, the future of High Defination".
