What about ANIME movies on blu-ray??

ok i was stuned that the official blu-ray site won't post every new blu-ray movie released

there's anime blu-ray's out there with amazing quality and animation capture

i bought GHOST IN THE SHELL recently and even though it was made in 1995 but the qualty was unserpassed people , also i'm ready to post a review about it ((the menus were japanese but there's ENG subs))


if anybody else got it please tell me what you think

Two of the Dragonball Z movies will be available on Blu-ray later this year.

however DBZ is'nt my thing

can't wait for SE to release FF7:AC COMPLETE this year

forget about how good/fast the fight were

imagine this movie being remastred from scratch to blu-ray exclusive title with all those amazing gfx !!

ps: the movie's dvd went on amazon.com as the best seller for a week and half

btw the slipcase box is white with a blue paper band on the bottom. (I mention this so you don't accidentally miss it by superficially scanning for blue cases in the shelves )

me neither, but I'm going to buy it just to support anime on Bluray. Funimation is the only one thats announced anything OFFICIAL. I think other studios may be watching this DBZ release since its one of the first bug releases. If it sells well, hopefully more studios will announce going Blu soon.

Honestly, i really dont think i would watch any anime in 1080p. But I would want to see a whole season or series of an anime on one BR on 480p or even 320i (I have a 32" tv from 1993).

I know all the studios want to do it, it's a matter of being able to sell enough discs to make a profit, along with getting HD masters from Japan

I just hope ADV makes a decision before they release Gurren Lagann. Blu is the only way I want to buy it!

I bought mine in December. It has amazing PQ and SQ! The bitrates basically stays in the mid 30s for most of the film.

I imagery and storyline seemed to be the epicentre of epiphanies for me. I could practically feel my frontal lobe being set ablaze! This movie prepares you for the possible moral conflicts with what sentient life is.

That's my take on it.
