Default Anybody Else waiting for Back to the Future to get released separately?

I love all 3 movies. but I hate this Trilogy Box. Am I alone on this? I just don't want this box on my shelf and have to open it up to get the disc I want. I already have the damn Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza box on my shelf lol

I really hope it get's released Separately with each movie having it's own Amaray case.

Steelbook would be my number one choice, or even Digibook

Steelbook reasonably priced ftw but yes I am waiting for better packaging, this tripack casing is an abomination.

I am! I also want the first 2 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but now the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles box set is $42 on Amazon so it is very tempting to order!

It is going to be one or two years before you see individual releases. I can wait, Universal did a pretty poor job of remastering the films.

I already have three separate cases thanks to the great cover artists on here.

It could be sooner, the LoTR films came out relatively quickly as individuals after the box set came out. Really hoping for like an April release on these, I can wait longer though. Seen them all dozens of times, plus they're still on TV relatively often.

Alright you got me lol but there's nothing good about having a Box set on the shelf! Unless it's done right like LOTR with the Jumbo Steelbook! now that's how it's done!

Just make your own. Blu cases are pretty cheap if you don't already have extras around, and the custom cover art thread is full of people making awesome looking slipcovers - often better than the official ones - and most are happy to share it with others to print for your own.

I bought it (yes the casing sucks!)

I've watched them (I thought the PQ was very good with great color)

I'm done.

That might be because LOTR was released by WHV, while BTTF is released by Universal HV - and I think WHV still has the edge in bringing out catalog titles more quickly than UHV.

Whatever the case, I'm happy with my UK tinbox set, which is beyond awesome!!!

But like the other person said, you can always buy the cases separately and get some custom-made covers, that's pretty awesome, too!!

I have to agree with you on this. BUT, I already bought the trilogy and I just bought like a 20 pack of BD cases and put them in there with a boot leg insert in them....

That has always been a gripe of mine, was the bulky boxes that require an instruction book just to get the disc out.

I too hate the packaging of BttF. That said, I'm not a big fan of the films either. I own somewhere around 630 DVDs, and not one of them is a BttF flick. I don't hate them, they just don't interest me at all.

I would have to go somewhere to get them printed because my printer at home doesn't do color. It's fine by me though. I can wait for them to come out individually.

Thumbs down Nope.

Nope. I've only seen the first one, and I like it ok, but I haven't seen the next two, and I wouldn't buy a box set if I have not seen two of the films. I don't even like the first one enough to buy it if did come as a seperate release. Bring on the nasty comments.

The price on it is more annoying than the packaging for me. 25 year old films packaged together should cost about $10 each. I wouldn't be surprised if they individually will cost $25 each when they are released separately.

Why not? The question was who's waiting for BttF individual releases? I answered that question. Maybe you don't agree or simply didn't like my answer, but hey, that's what makes the world go 'round.
