Bruce Willis in “Red” coming to Blu-ray January 2011

In an early alert to retailers Summit Entertainment has made public their plans to bring the 2010 Robert Schwentke directed film “Red” starring Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Karl Urban, and Helen Mirren to Blu-ray Disc on January 25th, 2011. Tech specs and bonus materials have yet to be announced for the title but stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated. The title is already available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon with a $21.49 price tag.

This isn't the kind of movie I typically like or bother seeing, but I gave it a chance and I found it to be very entertaining and funny. I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I'll most likely buy this movie.

A possible blind buy purchase, but I definitely want to see this either way as it looked to be extremely entertaining. This was another movie that went on my wanted to see but didn't because I don't see much in the theater list. Also, that's a pretty nice price to start out with. It would be awesome if it ended up dropping to $19.99.

In Summit Entertainment's Red, Bruce Willis leads his fellow senior citizen ex-CIA operatives Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Morgan Freeman, and Russian agent Brian Cox in a fight against their former employers. This fight will be making its way to Blu-ray Disc and DVD for the first time on January 25.
The Red release date comes from a new listing at Amazon and there is little additional information to share about the title at this time. It is pre-selling for $21.49.

I saw this in theaters and really liked it it was much more entertaining and funny than I thought it would be. The Cast was great and it was good to see Mary Louise Parker in a movie. She was hilarious in this along with the rest of the cast. Day 1 purchase for me

Judging from the image they use in the ad and also the fact that Summit usually does for their movies, I do think the special edition will receive a slipcover.

Also, judging from the ad, it looks like the one up for pre-order right now is the movie only edition.

Very good movie. Fun action comedy with a lot of over the top action. Just a quick warning for those who haven't seen it. The first 15 minutes of the movie is slow on purpose to establish the mood of that part of the film (not a problem). After that then the movie goes along at a steady clip and is very entertaining. It's good mindless fun. If you just watch it and enjoy for what it is, the movie's great. Don't try to analyze it. It's the kind of movie that you watch it at face value.
