Some interesting discussions on how people will buy it (ban it altogether, boycott the HD-DVD, get the DVD only, etc.)

So I thought it would be beneficial to make it into a poll as to what people are committing to do.

I didnt think it was that great of a movie, but I'll be renting it. When it comes out on BD that is.

actually im not interested in this movie, but i bet it´ll look awesome in HD.

I'll likely buy it on standard, than buy it on Blu ray if it becomes available.

I didn't think it was that great of a movie either, but I know others do, and I have a number of people who come over to take advantage of my home theatre. I'll get this once on Blu-Ray to entertain others and showcase the abilities (unless there is a better, similar movie by then).

I'm not going to get it because of the movie, but because of the cutting-edge CG. If it's not cutting-edge CG by the time it hits Blu-ray, I'll just get whatever might replace it.

"Will burn it to Blu-Ray via the hd-dvd"

Yes! I am the only one buying the HD-DVD and then the Blu-Ray later on! Woohoo! Seriously though, considering I've had an HD-DVD player for over a year now, and haven't bought any movies for it since March, I think me buying this one movie (which will be a hit no matter if I buy it or not) will not kill Blu-Ray... At least I hope not.

I think that counts as not buying it. Or, you'd have to rent or buy the HD-DVD somehow, which is another option.

Unless you mean obtaining the HD-DVD source some other way, like torrents, and burning it to HD-DVD, which again, is not purchasing, and I'm not even going to support that with a voting option.

I think it is interesting so far on how no one will settle for HD-DVD or Standard DVD. Those that are getting one of these two options is seeking a Blu-Ray option ultimately. But there are some who will just not purchase at all or rent it.

I don't plan on buying it, but I won't complain if it shows up under the Christmas tree.

Great idea, however, you would be supporting HD-DVD by increasing their retail sales or rental sales. Unless you get it for free from someone else.

There are few movies, if any, that I need to see right now. I am willing to wait until it shows up on Blu (assuming it will). If it come to HD on local cable then maybe I catch it there instead
