Default My CD Universe Rant

I can not believe the amount of problems I’ve had with my CD Universe order. If you’re looking to buy a Blu-ray (or any disk based media) I might suggest you hear my warnings. I’m sure some have had good experiences with the above mentioned online retailer but not for me.

Over a week ago I ordered A Blu-ray film. After sending payment I monitored my account to see how it was being processed. After noticing some internal confusion (they canceled my order without my permission) they final shipped my disk 4 days after they got my money.

What I came to find out after three phone calls to their customer service (which was pretty much useless) was that they ran out of the title on Blu and decided to send me the movie in HD-DVD. WTF!

When I called to inform CD Universe that I did NOT want HD-DVD the CS Rep seemed confused as to why that would be a problem. I thought she was joking with me but she was dead serious. Fortunately I’m getting a refund but what a freaking rollercoaster of a ride to get something I never even ordered.

So the moral of the story… If CD Universe runs out of a product (which they don’t update on their website) they will just send you something else. Nice huh?
