Technical Understanding needed . . HELP!

Let me go right to the question. I'm looking for an actual answer, not speculation, heresay, or maybe's, Please, as Jack Webb once said - "Just the Facts".

If a Blu-Ray Disc has dts-HD Master Audio or other advanced high resolution audio codec on it, and the Player, though being HDMI 1.3A compliant', does not' have internal decoders for them, BUT a pre-amp or Receiver DOES, and is HDMI 1.3A Compliant, will the player pass through the advanced codec through the HDMI interconnect to the Receiver for Decoding?

So, there's the question. Do you know the answer? Thank you in advance for any assistance in understanding all this !!! [Jim]
