What happens with "co-produced by HD DV exclusive studios" films in terms of Blu-ray? - Blu-ray Forum

There are a few movies that are produced by now hddvd exclusive studios along with blu-ray exclusive studios. Some examples are "The Longest Yard" by Columbia Pictures + Paramount, "Almost Famous" by Columbia + Dreamworks, "Braveheart" by Paramount + Fox, etc.

Its really not as many movies as I thought, but what would happen to these films in terms of Blu-Ray? Or who makes that decision?

It depends on who has the distribution rights for the home video releases. Usually this info can be found on imdb.com. If you go to the main page for any movie, the bottom parts of the "specs" section says company, and it will tell you who has the distribution rights. For some reason, The Longest Yard and Almost Famous doesn't give that info, but Braveheart was distributed by Paramount.
