Mutiny on the Bounty? - Blu-ray Forum

As I am brand new to this Forum, I may be asking a redundant question..please forgive. I am inquiring to see if anyone has heard any news of a possible release date for the 1962 Mutiny on the Bounty on BD. I have seen an HD version of this film on HDNET a while back. It looked fantastic. I hope we'll have good news on this........Phil

its a common question for people new here to wonder about specific titles. That is a great film, but as far as i have heard there has been no announcement of its release. there is a thread in movies that a lot of people view call "the official 'is this titles coming' thread. they can probably help you there.

older titles may take some time to come out as there is a lot of work that goes into mastering these films into high definition. from what i've seen of "catalog title" announcements they seem to come with the release of a new edition dvd release. that way when they are mastering the dvd they can master the blu ray edition as well. its just easier that way.

It's out on HD DVD

It will come to Blu soon enough, now that Warner is catching back up
