When buying BD discs, I've never even looked at the HD section so I've never checked out the prices. Toshiba has always said that one of the advantages of HD (as opposed to BluRay) is that it's discs are cheaper to manufacture and that they can be stamped out on slightly modified standard-def equipment. Assuming this is true, are the savings being passed along to the consumer? I am confident that BluRay disc prices will fall once the format becomes "mass market" and most titles sell in the millions.
