Default Gladiator: "People should know when they are conquered"

I was watching this the other day, and the first battle, Maximus is talking to one of his soldiers. The soldier says "People should know when they are conquered". Maximus answers and says "Would you, would I?"

So then my dear Blu-Ray community, indeed would we know if we were going to loose?

The same can be said of the HD-DVD supporters. Do they know they are going to loose?

Loose?...like loosen our belt buckles?...like the Nelly Furtado album?...Or lose like "I hope blu-ray doesn't lose?" Gladiator is P/DW. That means the movie is dead to me.

When this girl at the museum asked me who I liked better, Monet or Manet, I said, 'I like mayonnaise.' She just stared at me, so I said it again, louder. Then she left. I guess she went to try to find some mayonnaise for me."

With all the format wars going on, would someone really know if they are going to loose, or would they just keep fighting to the death?

Just because a film is P/DW does not take away from the fact its an excellent film. I am sure there have been equally excellent films that have been developed by P/DW which you like, despite Viacom doing what they did.

In any case, when BR wins, we will get all the films anyways!

when it comes to questioning who is going to LOSE, i am certain that HDDVD will be the one to be crowned the loser, no questions asked. but i am still comfused about this post. what does gladiator have to do with your original post? I know you are trying to say something to us, but can you clarify it. are you saying that when BD wins, we will get all the films anyways?

IS THAT WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO SAY?

LOL! Sorry. Must be my strange logic. I think if I try to explain it would lead to your brain exploding, or something. If defeat was staring us in the face, would we admit it. Thats the point I am trying to get across. Hence the Gladiator quote.

I'm pretty sure I would know if something major happened that Blu ray was going to lose (such as Disney and Warner going HD-DVD exclusive simultaneously), you will always have people that are blind to everything no matter what is going on and that pertains to everything.
