Default High Def poll on Auduiholics

I just came across this poll posted at Audioholics: http://www.audioholics.com/news/indu...-hd-dvd-player

Just thought to give you guys a heads-up - go show your support and vote!
Audioholics used to be one of my fav web sites until recently. Their official stance is "neutral" but once you read through a few of their high def articles you will clearly see which format they are favoring. Perhaps one more forum / site sponsored by M$. Shame, really.

First, I'm not a member there.
Second, I'm not planning on buying a standalone any time soon as my PS3 service me well.

I do however find it sad that yet another site that claims to be about excellence in sound and video quality would favour HD DVD over blu-ray.

Well, they seem to be very tied into the AVM$ site, so their bias really isn't surprising.

Either way, if Denon's players make it to market before Christmas I will definitely be picking up a second player... and I'm also upgrading my bedroom PC for Blu-ray, so I figured it was fair to vote.

I voted for blu... read the two writing by Clint DeBoer... he does have a point about hi-def in general. Most consumer could care less. The example of SACD and DVD-A is so true. While they may be much superior than CD, most consumer doesn't care. Most thinks MP3 is the greatest. I am sure there are many still thinks VHS is just fine. I can relate to that, my wife thinks watching a SD broadcast movie on a 13 inch mono TV is just fine... even on movie I already have in BR that just happens to be shown on TV.

I once ask her why she doesn't want to watch it on a 8' screen with 7.1 sound in our HT room and her reply to me was, is the same movie...

I just hope BR is not going to degrade to a point of SACD/DVD-A that as BB start to mix them with the SD stuff.

Looks like they'll have to close that poll down. No point for them to have a poll if it doesn't show the results they want.

Don't let anyone fool you. Neutral means hddvd supporter. Never any different.

I voted for Blu, nice post.
