Default What processor...

Ok i need some advice on the minimum processor to run bd,s....

I have currently a dell xps laptop running 7950gtx graphics card and t7400 2.16 ghz chip.....

Dell have told me that the minimum requirement to run blueray on this system is t7600 2.33ghz???

They will upgrad me for £160 about $320 to do this....

Do you think this is correct and will i see a massive difference doing this??

This VAIO has a T2500(2.0 Dual Core) and a 7600GT video card - BDs play great!

I cannot think of any reason your processor and card wouldn't work.

I have the same Dell with the upgraded processor running Vista64. Although the CPU never max's out it is working VERY hard frequently at 88% with some movies. It seems to be to with the codec being used AVC is very CPU intensive. Although the picture looks great on the laptop screen connect it to a projecter and there is some jerkiness with some movies. I would trust Dell with this one.

the specs should be fine. You cannot trust everything dell said. I've been given a lie by HP as well.
Sony VAIO AR41S runs T7200, GEforce 7600. no probs...
but it will be helpful to have directX 10 compatible graphic card (geforce series 8)
