Default I hope Universal at least goes neutral

I went and saw "The Kingdom" today and it was quite good and there were a lot of other movies coming out i saw previews for that looked good that seemed to be universal.. It would behoove Universal to go Blu knowing that movies like "The Kingdom" would sell quite well with us!

See, they are not loosing money by not selling blue. They were paid cash already. No need to bother. :-(

So true, Universal would make a lot more money selling Blu-ray movies. I'm waiting!

Pretty much the only movies I want from Universal right now would be Jurassic Park and Conan the Barbarian. I think the facts that they would be neutral, plus Steven's love for Blu-ray, this would be guaranteed to hit the streets.

isnt Jurrasic Park directed by Steven Spielberg? if it is then that one is a given since he wants all of his movies to be on blu-ray and hd-dvd no matter what company his movies he directed were done by

I just watched knocked up DVD last night and I just started thinking how much this HDM war really sucks. I loved this movie and I wouldn't have hesitated if it would've been released on Blu-Ray. Man I remember when just DVD existed I could've bought whatever movie was released by any studio. Now I only support Blu-Ray and I can't buy any Warner, Paramount & Weinstein movies which sucks donkey ballz. I can't wait till this ridiculous format war ends. For Gods sake some people take this format war more serious than the actual war that is being fought by our soldiers in Iraq & Afghanistan. Thanks for hearing my rant.

Universal neutral would be nice, but I would rather have Paramount/Dreamworks back. Now both would make me a very happy man.

Even neutral hurts the advancement of HDM (High Definiton Media). Click the "An Open Letter to the HD Video Industry" in my signature line and read just the first paragraph. Then, if you are inclined, read the whole letter.

I have seen many people here echo those same words. Perhaps they learned from reading the letter. Perhaps we just think alike. One thing is certain. Even neutrality will be bad in the long run.

Please read it, for your own sake.

I saw the Kingdom, earlier today. It was a good movie, but over-hyped. I expected a little more action and a little deeper story line. Jamie Fox was good, but a few of his so called team, were under-par as actors/actresses. Chris Cooper was pretty decent too. It needed a little bit more of espionage to make it a great movie. I give it a 6 out of 10. I would buy it, if it became available in Blu Ray.

Why can't you buy Warner? Universal, I understand, but I think showing Warner "our love" would be a positive from us early adapters.

I don't know what is the issue with universal. Is it the past (the quarell they had with sony. or is it they were bought to begin out by hddvd to begin with.) it also seems that they are cheap, when it comes to home productions. Heck, its all what Ken Graffeti, or Gerraf, i really don't know his last name, anyways, he keeps talking about costs, and why they picked HDDVD over BD.i hope they just fire the guy and switch over to BD.
