Default CNET says W3201C has 1080p?

i only have a few days to decide on this TV so responses ASAP would be very much appreciated

Cnet says "It's worth noting that both of the HDMI ports successfully accepted a 1080p signal from our test generator--something few HDTVs can claim."

http://reviews.cnet.com/Dell_W3201C/...2.html?tag=nav

is that tru or what? no specs nowere say anything about it having a 1080p upscale or anything

whats going on?

also any news on upcoming 32inch 1080p lcds would be appreciated

3 days to decide on this dell

I'd wait as long as you could, like well into the Fall, but I think you've answered your own question as far as this model goes.

Note the bold. No reviewer would go out of their way to be that specific if they weren't sure.

If you're really hot for this, I'd buy it direct from Dell or some place that has a good return and exchange policy. If you don't like it? Send it back.

the only 1080p capable HDTV's I've seen were 50" or better......so this would come as a shock to me...I am going to do somequick research...

voila....I read the link and found the info...

including 720p and 1080i HDTV, are scaled to fit the pixels. It's worth noting that both of the HDMI ports successfully accepted a 1080p signal from our test generator--something few HDTVs can claim. It's also worth noting that the benefits of 1080p aren't really visible on a TV of this size and resolution.
basically...it will offer the highest resoltion anything you have can offer.....but you won't really see the difference between 720p, 1080i or 1080p

actually it doesn't offer it....

480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i

plus...

Resolution 1366 x 768

basically it's 720p....

I don't know why they even mention 1080p...
