So I was eating this cheese "Popper"

Poppers are jalapeno peppers filled with cheese. You put them in a 400 degree oven for 12 minutes.

I pulled a tray of hot poppers out of the oven with a mitt and placed it down on my stove. I found a utensil and dumped them onto my plate. Mmmmm...."delicious"! I bit into one and the freaking molten cheese squirted out. Quickly I spit it out hoping to avoid getting my tongue burnt. The cheese landed right on my lip sticking onto it and causing a second degree burn.

The lesson is to let your poppers cool down no matter how good they look.

same with pizza (or like those pizza pocket/burritos, etc.)

the japaleno poppers with the yellow cheese inside are far more deadly than the red poppers with the cream cheese filling

also, careful of right out of the oven cinnamon rolls

I did the same thing with a molten cheese burrito. Makes me think of the Conehead movie with the microwaved pizza.

Pizza can be the nastiest. About 15 years ago, one of my childhood friends owned a pizzeria. To make a long story short, it was late Friday night and I was visiting him on the way home from a movie. They screwed up a pizza and noticed this right when it came out of the oven that it had the wrong toppings. So, he said, "make it again and cut that in slices like pie and just put it out for us to eat." (in my area pizzas are usually cut into squares) So, one of his employees cut it in eight pie-like slices and put it on the counter.

Well, just then one of the delivery guys came in. He looked down, "Oh pizza, I'm starvng", and grabbed a slice. Now, these things are cooked at 500 degrees and it just came out of the oven!!! So, he bit it, and the cheese was gooey and hot. His reaction was to pull the slice out of his mouth. Too late, the entire layer of cheese, sausage, and green pepper slipped right off the crust and was hanging over his whole lower lip and chin. He was really screwed up and did some major damage to his face on that.
