Wish the Final Cut was in more cities and I could see it on the big screen. I first saw Blade Runner on Showtime in 1982 or 1983 and it was awesome then and awesome today...

Do yourselves a favor and try to find the book, 'Future Noire".

It's a fascinating look at the history of blade runner.

are we going to have a few disappointed people comparing this cut to the 5 previous cuts, with screenshots, complaining about colour cast?

I think you'll be in for a disappointment. I love Blade Runner for what it is, but if you build it up beyond what it's actually about then please watch the DVD first.

Blade Runner Bombed on release because it's very slow, very dark, and very moody movie. It's not what you normally expect from a Hollywood flick. It's a piece of Art more than it is a movie. The Characters don't say much, the FX are rare and the plot line is sparse.

All said and done it does have it's hooks, less is more as they say and by the end of the movie you're left begging for more.

Blade Runner is deep, it's as much about who you are as to what's going on,on screen. It's much more than a Detective taking out Replicants, it deals with the emotions of life and death, so by the end of the film it all gets quite heavy.

Do not go into this film thinking its some futuristic action, SFX laden extravaganza.

I love the movie - I still have a copy on VHS for sure.

For a real treat, get the book "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" by Philip K. Dick, and find out how the movie should have been - it brings the whole vision of man vs. replicants to a new perspective. This is the book the movie was based on.

Yes, "based on" quite loosely I must add.

enjoy
