Default New Java mentions Blu-ray

In the interests of promoting all things positive for Blu-ray...

I got an update for Java this morning on my laptop. I noticed that while it was doing it's thing it says that Java is everywhere, including Blu-ray players. Being a programmer, I already knew this, but I still wanted to share.

I attempted to attach a screen shot. Hopefully I did it right.

Cool

I just got my update. Sure enough, there it is in all its glory: "Blu-ray Disc players".

Hopefully you/we will have nothing but good experiences with Java on Blu.

Especially after Oct. 30.

You know, I can accept that I'm an early adopter of all of this new HD technology, which is why I feel like I did right by purchasing a PS3. As the technology evolves my PS3 should have absolutely no problem evolving with it.

Yeh, I have Java installed cause I use it for university, I noticed that message last week when I was installing the latest version.

I bet M$ are kicking themselves that they didn't intergrate .NET into HD DVD instead of HDi.

HDi is .NET under-the-hood. Will more than likely become absored into Silverlight as they push forward with web-based streaming content. The M$-Toshiba-WB alliance is the first indications of this. This IS there **Grand Design**.

I completely agree with your statement. That is exactly why I went with PS3 as well. I felt that PS3 was the only hardware device developed around Blu-ray and would support any type of upgrade or feature in the future.
