Default Java Blu-ray BD's vs Non Java Blu-ray BD issues?

I own an expensive Denon DVD-3800BDCI.

It seems when I play a BD (non Java) that can be stopped and resumed play I generally have no problem with loading issues, and freezes. I assume that BD's that can be paused are non Java BD's. They mostly always play with no problems or issues.

However, BD's that process the load icon on startup (Java) seem to have more problems. I assume these are Java enabled BD's. These BD's have intermittent loading problems, slow load speeds, and have intermittent playing freeze issues. After a problem to get these BD's to play, the machine has to be stopped, turned off and on, BD ejected and restarted. This format of BD's can not be stopped and the play resumed. If you stop play you have to reload and restart the disc. This is really annoying.

Is this a problem that others have experienced with their players.

Why are these BD's so different?

Is the load icon the only way to tell if a BD is Java enabled?

Comments?

Thanks
