Default Panasonic 2.4 Firmware Upgrade FYI

FYI regarding this or any firmware upgrade. My player would't accept the upgrade. Panny tech told me I didn't need it per the serial# on my player. This is because the players i.e. bd10a are model specific. Some of you may understand why...I certainly didn't.
Regarding slow load time of the new FF movie, I was told that had nothing to with java script, but the drive unit in the player???

Even the last batch of models that hit the stores were only 2.2 firmware, so yes you do need it

Make sure you download the 10A firmware, not just the 10

The reason I called in the first place was instead of recieving the 2.4 I got the 2.3. To be honest I really didn't feel this tech knew her #ss from a hole in the ground, unlike the tech last week. I simply wanted to know if there was a big diference between the 2 versions.
I just loaded the 2.3 disc. If any of you guys know how to decompress the download without using Win zip, I'm all ears!

I upgraded to 2.4 and the very next movie I watched was FF: Rise of the Silver Surfer and it loaded pretty quickly but then froze about 2min into the movie. So I started it back up and went to scene selection and went straight to chapter 2..... I never tried to play it from the beginning again.
