I think the prices are place holders at least for now. I'm on a list to get these from Engelkinds group buy, so i hope they go down or we get cheaper UK releases. They're way too high to be proper prices

dont like the look of this steelbook. the uk steelbook looks nicer imo the border around the front is meh

pretty sure this is the final price as avatar 3D has never been released in retail shops yet (could only get it from ebay or if you bought a new panasonic tv) so imagine its going to be expensive. after all it is the best 3D film ever made

You could be right but a bit of a coincidence that all of the 3D releases are priced at 29 euros. I still hope theres a UK release tbh, if that would be the price. Still, as mentioned, it is the best 3D PQ movie ever for live action so that should stand for something

IMO the more pre-orders they get the more likely they will not lower the price.

Bought the steelbook, but as a collector, i'm looking for a sealed 3D steelbook. This being the only one available atm in listings. I'm gonna pick up the 3D version on amaray to add to my collection.

The steelbook will have a magnetic lenticular on the front, it looks like this is becoming the standard for 3D steelbooks from Media Markt ...
I'd prefer not having this feature you can get in every Kellog's package and have a price around 20€ instead

It's a typical placeholder date. Always put something at the end of the year when ya don't have a clue. Retailers eh?

Ok, I thought December 31st was an odd date anyway. If you going to release to biggest film of all time and the most anticipated 3D movie you release it just before Christmas. I think the initial sales numbers would be much higher.

They deliberately gave Panasonic an official deal for exclusive use of the movie till 3D took off into the mass market. They now think they're at a point where 3D has taken off enough and they can smash records on home theatre and get into the news again.

I have the Chinese Iron Pack. I will simply dump the DVD and replace it with the 3D Blu-ray. I don't want foreign text on the front of my Steels.

The price is beginning to put me off tbh. I've got this on order via my group buy slot but i'm in 2 minds. It's a bit high but then again even bootleg 3D versions have been selling for like >£50 for just an amaray style on fleabay now for an age.

Seriously not sure on this anymore. Hmmm, choices, choices and not enough money
