Hi,
so are there any news about this release of Ninja Scroll? https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Ninja...Blu-ray/47757/ about aspect ratio will be in 4:3 or 16:9? Last edited by xXFlipXx; 10-03-2012 at 02:25 AM. |

well, dragon ball episodes and movies were in 4:3 originally in the past and they changed to 16:9 in blu ray versions... which i can say i don't like it but also i can't dislike... since we have 1080p tvs nowadays it's kinda odd see anything in 4:3 format...
theres already a ninja scroll in bluray that came out earlier, i don't know what the diference in this future release, only i can see it will come whit a steelbox... Last edited by xXFlipXx; 10-03-2012 at 08:15 AM. |

There was some confusion about this after Manga originally stated it would be 16:9 but fortunately it was a misunderstanding and it will be in the original 4:3 https://www.facebook.com/mangauk/posts/143537969121476

DBZ movies were made for widescreen theatrical distribution, so having them in widescreen is actually the 'way' to see them. The series, on the other hand, was cropped to widescreen and resulted in an uproar from DBZ fans. Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT remained in 4:3 on DVD. |

It's ok, it's really violent and has a bit of sleaze thrown in it, from what I remember (i might be confused with Resurrection though).. kind of like your average 90s anime. The animation is really, really good though.

is it me or the image seems better in dvd version and worst on bluray version?
you can see the comparison... damn, i still prefer DVD version, i have less detail and quality but the colours are original, seems also that DVD cut a little the extremes... ![]() Hope the next come out bluray version could fix the colours, which i doubt it... I think the blu-ray looks way better. Colours are more lush and the lines look much more solid and stable. I already have the UK steelbook on pre-order but I hope to see more screenshots soon because now I'm excited
![]() I'm also interested in where you got those blu-ray screenshots from. |

If you take any, note down the time codes (some times it easier to do the first frame of a new scene) and I could take some of the Australian Anniversary DVD.
