Default Difference in Samsungs Players?

Just wondering, I have 4 of the Samsung BD-P1000's, is there a huge difference between that and the 1200 or 1400? And condidering I do the firmware updates on the 1000's? I just ask because it seems I read about glitches with all of them. I was just thinking since the 1000 was more of a 1st gen player, would it be worth looking into a 1200 or 1400 for better performance?

Also, I have over 400 standard DVD's, so upconverting is pretty important to me as well, is one better than the others or are they the same as far as that goes?

I also have a LG Super-Blu........not impressed at all. In fact regret buying it. I only have 4 HD DVD's, but I was watching Transformers the other night and it starting freezing, now every movie I put in is freezing, Standard, Blu-Ray and HD ??? Any suggestions?

Also, before anyone rips me, I am not a fan of HD, just bought the LG for the sole convenience of any major title that doesn't come out on Blu-Ray. Trust me , I prefer BluRay much more.

Standard DVD's = 400+
Blu ray = 29

If you're looking at replacing them, I would stay away from the Korean (Samsung and LG) decks. They seem to have a lot of compatibility issues.

Pioneer, Panasonic, Sony etc

That being said you definately need to upgrade that firmware.

Well what you would get by upgrading to the 1400 would be the abillty to bitstream TrueHD and DTS HD MA. That is if you have a receiver that can decode it. Otherwise not much is gained at all.

I have Pioneer Elite receivers on Two Tv's. Just curious, what do you think is the best over all stand alone Blu Ray player out there? (Not including PS3 - I have one of those as well).

Do you know anything about firmware updates on that LG Super Blu? Does that freezing problem sound like that could be a Firmware update or does it sound like something could be wrong with the player, again it is freezing on all DVd's now. (Blu-Ray, HD and Standard)

The best Blu-ray player out there is probally the new Pioneer elite 95.

Not sure if the Lg problems are FW related or not. But it doing it on all discs sounds like it is not.
