Default Warner manipulating new releases to favor HD DVD?

For the last few weeks I have noticed that all of Warner Blu Ray new releases had been delayed or out of stock. This seems to happen to the Blu Ray releases only. A Quick look on Amazon will show that the HD DVD releases are in stock while the BD counterparts, are delayed or out of stock. Something's fishy here......

I've heard this from many others before; however, I always find the titles I'm looking for on the day they come out at any local Best Buy. They usually have a few copies in stock.

I'm not sure why Warner is getting a bit slow though, and delaying stuff.

Yeah, they must really hate so many people wanting to buy stuff from them.

Warner distribution, along with home delivery from Warner direct, has been screwed up for months now. I don't see anything fishy. What I see is HD-DVDs refusing to fly off the shelves at the same rate as BDs.

The only place I've heard of this problem is Amazon. Every retailer I've gone to has had them in stock.

My local Best Buy had every new Warner BD in stock yesterday.

Amazon seems to have dropped the ball and didn't anticipate demand for these titles.

Warner Home Video is having problems too. I cancelled my order. I'll go pick it up at a B&M and pay a tad of a premium to get the damn thing before xmas.

I would think this is from the production facilities, The ever growing demand for BD is outgrowing the production capacity, This is just my opinion though

Great, I ordered my Harry Potter's from there. Hopefully they get their shit together, I thought they had these problems fixed. Is this in fact the same issue from last month, or just a miscalculation of demand?

I have seen all of the problems that people have been having with Warner so I thought I would post a positive story. I just placed my order on Monday, ordering the new Kubrick films with the 25% off and standard shipping. Just 2 minutes ago, UPS left them on my porch. I thought for sure I would be waiting a while for these since there have been so many people complaining about their shipping. So I guess, just stay positive. They will arrive before you know it.

I think it's the problem with Amazon. I go in to my Best buy local store and the new releases seem to be there. Amazon is getting very slow in shipping my blu-ray movies.

Agree, if nobody is buying the things then of course they'll always have stock.

I just got the 3 Kubrick movies this morning that I ordered from them on Sunday. I got to give props to them for such speedy delivery. The only thing is I didn't receive A Christmas Story from them but thats ok with me and I can wait for that title to get shipped to me.

I don't think there is anything dark going on. I see their titles out there at retail. Yes, sometimes there is out of stocks, but it is usually because we the consumer are snapping them up. Let's not forget that just a few weeks ago people were all over Fox for delays on some titles, so instead of some titles coming out on tuesday, they were showing up on thursday.

Now, if titles start getting pushed back or cancelled, then we all can start to worry.
