Actually I’ve seen it that price for that seller before its only when purchased from Availability: In Stock. Ships from and sold by Beach Audio.
I bought mine from Amazon at the standard price weeks ago. Amazon sold out of their inventory.

in stores you could get it cheaper including the accessories

Thats from a private seller, not Amazon.com, plus with that seller you have to pay s&h

but then that brings up the question why bother paying for shipping and handling where you can buy it in stores cheaper and only just sales tax put on it?

not to mention why wait 2 weeks to receive it when you can start playing the ps3 now? like when i bought my ps3 i didnt want to wait to get it i wanted it right when i had the money to pay for it and play it the same day

In my neighborhood I see the private sellers selling The Wii for $300 and the games for $59.99. I guess the private sellers need to make money. They don't sell 100s of systems a week. They probably only sell a few a week to people who don't know any better or don't have any Best Buy or other stores near them.

Wow! If you go to their video game page there's a counter showing the xbox360 version of guitar hero vs PS3 guitar hero. xbox = 73% and ps3=27%

But they're both out of stock.. so wtf does that even show? Basically that they carry 3x as many xbox versions.. So, why the hell would you have a chart like that ???

stores are still advertising the 80Gb version for 599...Best Buy included...or CC...I forget what I saw this morning..

It might just be that they push hd dvd harder b/c it doesn't sell well.
