Live-action sci-fi movie based on a 1973 Japanese animé of the same name.

Oh why oh why couldn't this be in blu? Went to Blockbust today to have a look see and found this movie(CASSHERN). It's Japanesse and in captions. The front of the box compares it to the Matrix. Actually it says...better than the 2 Matrix sequels combined.

I'm only 15 minutes into so I can't vouch for that yet but, so far visually it is superb. Also, the visual concepts could be interchanged with a Final Fantasy game or just be a Final Fantasy game itself.

If you get a chance to rent this, do it.

i just found out about the anime. is it any good?

Its a bit weird, but then most anime is. I liked it.

It's god-awful

They only put it out because they spent a bunch of money on it before someone actually watched it and realized it was almost unmarketable in the US and the license is about to expire

All it is is eye candy, and it would never sell enough to justify the expense here
