Sound & Vision got ahold of a BD-P1000 with Noise reduction Turned OFF and test it between a unit with the setting to ON, Also a hint at "The Fifth Element" being re-released & remastered on BR!

the last page really goes into the details of what they found you can honestly skip the other 5 pages and go right there, but it is overall a good read, but 5 of the pages was stuff you an I already knew.

Dont act like you wouldn't buy the Blu ray superbit edition. Hell i know it'd piss you off (would me too) but i'd buy it...I'm a sucker for "the new hotness"

Hey in a way you got me. I would buy a Superbit Blu-ray if I didn't already the regular Blu-ray version of a particular movie. In the case of the single layer MPEG2 movies I'm not buying any of them so I would indeed be happy to buy a Superbit version of some of them. If the current Fifth Element were of great quality already though I wouldn't upgrade to the Superbit for minimal improvement. I double dipped enough with DVD, I won't do it again.

You know you'd probably double dip though if they release something with stunning, jaw dropping picture quality that you just can't believe isn't real. My guess is that as the double layer discs come out will see the studios doing some double dipping and offering a standard release and then a packed to the walls director edition.
