USA A Christmas Story 30th Anniversary Steelbook (11/5/13)

Same as Scrooged, it's a combo. No other news, though.

I only got around to watchIng this film last year, as it's not really spoke about much in this country, even though it has a massive following in the States ; it might be the only film I've seen that accurately captures what Christmas is like each year... without sentimentality.

Oh man, there are so many good possibilities for artwork, please don't screw it up WB!
I'm liking this Christmas line of steelbooks.

Um...where on the page does it say "steelbook?" Do I need the Little Orphan Annie Secret Decoder Pin to find it?

I was just thinking that to and the only thing I see is this Box Type: Amaray Case witch means standard case and not steelbook.

The listing for Elf also states 'amaray case' but the picture clearly shows a Steelbook

Another thing is that when they list Steelbooks on that site, they always start off at $21.95. Same thing happened with the huge wave from earlier in the year.

I hope WB uses the original DVD cover art.

Right. Because the Fugitive won't be either.

That would be cool art, but I can see them using the same art as the current standard release.

That's a rare instance in which they specifically mentioned a remaster. Otherwise, Warner Bros is notorious for releasing and re-releasing (and then re-releasing some more) the same BD in different packaging. All I'm saying is don't get your hopes up.

Exactly.
Fugitive, while I'm quite pleased they did a new transfer, is the exception, unfortunately...not the rule.
Especially when talking about steelbooks, as they are almost always just recycled discs.
