Default Panasonic DMP-BD30 will be priced under $394 soon from some mail order companies.

The Panasonic DMP-BD30 will be selling for $499 at retail stores. From a reliable source of mine I have learned that some discount Internet mail order companies will be selling the Panasonic DMP-BD30 for under $394 once the players start arriving in large quantities. It might be a month or so before this player can be purchased under $394.

I can not review my sources but the pricing information is correct. When the Panasonic DMP-BD10 first started selling at $599 I posted that mail order companies would have it for around $470. All I can say is according to the pricing info data I have the Panasonic DMP-BD30 will be under $394 form one or more of the following companies on this list.

Thanks. I understand.
Any firm date for release? I've seen Nov 12 and also vague release info such as "late Nov". Which is more correct?

Sorry I do not have any updated valid ETA info accept for what Panasonic officially announced. On Monday November 5th the DMP-BD30 is scheduled to ship to retail stores according to Eisuke Tsuyuzaki who is the VP of corporate development for Panasonic and GM of its Blu-ray Disc Group. As long as shipments do not get delayed (things get delayed a few weeks or a month some times) according to Panasonic the players should be available around November 12th. Around Thanksgiving early December there should be bucket loads of the DMP-BD30 at retail stores and soon after that discount mail order companies.
At least that is how I interpreter the following quote from Home Media magazine.
