Default Blu-ray #81 vs #181 HD-DVD amazon sales

http://www.eproductwars.com/dvd/

Even after the discounted HD-DVD players the overall blu-ray sales are still strong!

Ratatouille [Blu-ray] is #3 on AMAZON that is pretty darn good

I am getting excited for Warner to decide to support a single HD format in Q4 as they have stated. Their blu titles are selling a heck of lot more than their red titles. This should make the decision easy.

Warner titles I have purchased to help them in their decision to go blu-exclusive:

- 2001: A Space Odyssey
- 300
- The Aviator
- Eyes Wide Shut
- The Fountain
- Full Metal Jacket: Deluxe Edition
- The Last Samurai
- Planet Earth
- The Shining

I hope to get several more between now and Christmas and probably will end up buying all 5 Harry Potter movies since my wife is a huge fan. I am doing all I can to make their decision an easy one.

So, c'mon, what are you waiting for?

1. Go to http://whv.warnerbros.com/WHVPORTAL/Portal/homepage.jsp
2. Click "Advanced Search"
3. Click "Blu-ray"
4. Click "GO"
5. Start buying titles!

Get 25% off ALL TITLES using the promotion code "NVBM". It works all November long. Enjoy!

Just picked up Cars and Rat today, however not from Amazon. Lady at Best Buy said everyone was buying Rat, as indicated by the sales on Amazon.

Son of a *****... why are HD-DUDders STILL buying so many copies of Planet Earth??!! It's already outselling Transformers 3 week's after it was released?? I just don't understand it.

it's probably because Planet Earth sales on HD DVD respresents new HD DVD standalone owners. I think Planet Earth on HD DVD mostly represents standalone owners.

Man that is so awesome, Transformers never even made it to #3 on amazon, and that movie was much bigger than ratatoulie. Just goes to show you how much HD DVD sucks.

Truth. Originally I was tempted to go HD DVD instead of Blu-ray because they had more movies I liked. But then I releaized that although Blu-ray caters more to a wider audience, that is actually a good thing. I dont give two craps about Ratatoulie or Cars or many of the other top selling Blu-rays, but working at a rental store, I know that its the movies I dont like that sell well. Rarely do I enjoy new movies but I understand that is where the money is that these are the movies that will win the format war.
