Default This may not be a big deal but....

This may not be a big deal but on Sunday I was doing some food shopping in Stop 'N' Shop (This is a big food store Chain) and I happpened to see the Spiderman 3 dvd on the shelf and then it caught my eye, A blu-ray version of the movie for sale. I never saw this before in the store so I looked around for more and found 'Meet the Robinsons' too. I saw no HD-DVD at all. I hope they continue to stock the new releases.

Thats awesome its always good news to see Blu spreading around.

When I went to Best Buy yesterday they had a whole pallet full of BDP-S300's & the 1400 a full pallet each! in the aisle. Hummmm I wonder if they are ramping up to do some kind of sale or promotion?

You're right, it's not a big deal. Just kidding. Actually, that's pretty cool to think that the BDA is so confident that people know what they are, they are trying to appeal to the shopping moms.

Same thing at Fred Meyers store where I live. Spiderman 3 and the trilogy box-set was their first ever BD. No HD DVD to offend the eye....

I haven't checked in a while now, but at 'The Real Canadian Superstore' had a copy of Wild Hogs on blu ray one time I went in there. I was shocked but pleasantly surprised.

I'm guessing the fact that it's a Disney release really helped that happen - Boy am I glad we have Disney.

This would explain why I found a slice of blu-cheese when I opened my Ratatouille case.
