Default PC GAMER recommends ... Blu Ray !

Holiday Issue # 169, December '07

Once a year, PC Gamer has a list of various items (from cool stuff to pure "geeky-funny" recommended for the Xmas shopping list, but I Wasn't expecting anything what so ever concerning our HD formats except maybe a standalone player, and kinda feared to see figured a "cheapo" HD DVD in there. Can't say that they are particularly console friendly, so wasn't expecting anything looking even remotely like a Xbox 360 add-on or a PS3.

Surprise !(but not really eh? , casue we know which format is better on Data ) because on page 48 figures prominently the Plextor PX-B900A with the following text:

"Time to trade up that frumpy DVD drive with Plextor's PX-B900A Blu Ray burner, which can toast up to 50Gb on a single disc and play High-Definition Blu-Ray discs. So you can watch James Bond get his parkour (look it up) on in Casino Royale."
$999 / Plextor.com

Mass market recognition continues
