Can anyone confirm if there is a standard blu ray blue case for the Close Encounters release?

It's not a normal case. It's similar to the dvd digipacks or whatever they're called.

Ah, thank you for the link.

Looks good...but it definitely is sad that it's not in a regular blu-ray case.

On the other hand, I'm glad we're quickly moving away from the early, gee-whiz swish-swoosh Blu-ray covers to the level that we're accustomed to in the DVD arena nowadays. CE3K and the Potter and Blade Runner sets are certainly steps in the right direction, and so are the classy Pixar covers.

I know it looks strange on the shelf, but you can either organise your standard cases and digipacks separately, or intermix them alphabetically for a bit of variety.
