I'm not sure if this thread already exists, but I came across this on IMDB... another Halloween movie is coming out next year.

Taking place between Halloween II (1981) and Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988), this film will bring back The Shape, good scares and will connect the entire franchise in this completely fan-funded feature.

at this point, might as well do a "Buddy" Halloween movie and have both versions of Mike Myers team up, maybe go on road trip, stalk each others version of the Strode/Myers family.

I'm sure we'll see Myers return one day. I mean look at Chucky he finally came back.

I just hope his return isn't awful as the remakes which would be pretty hard to make a Halloween movie worse than the remakes.

Well, no shit. What did they expect? You can't make a movie on something you don't own the rights too. Even if it was a non profit thing I'm sure. And those asking what copyright are super dumb.

Exactly, I always find it funny when people try to make a movie when they don't own the rights and than get angry when they are shut down.

Yeah, why people feel the need to make "fan films" or "fan shorts" is beyond me. If you're going to spend money to make something. Make a original of your own. It's usually those who have no ideas, but make "fan films" of stuff they like. I get it people are fans of the films. But you can take the inspiration from that and put it into something original of your own.

You'd be surprised how much fan crap is on youtube for Halloween or Scream.

As for people getting angry. That's like if say someone tried making a Batman or Superman movie. Then WB steps in and says stop it cause they own the characters. Also the people who do these things like i could do it better than those who screw it up all the time. They never get it right.

Agree with both of you. Can't stand going on you tube and looking up something thats says original and it turns out to be goofy fan junk.
