besides size, what are the differences between the three models? For example, does the 80 gig also offer something else?

There are actually four models if you know someone who will sell you their 20GB version.

These give good overviews. Additionally, the 60GB version has the PS2 emotion engine built into it, while the 80GB version is able to use software emulation for most PS2 games and the 40GB version can not play PS2 games.
