record things from tv - Blu-ray Forum

I wanna buy a blu-ray player, and I saw the lists on this site with players and recorders, but is any of these able to record things straight from my tv? or can these only record data.

and if yes, is there one with a harddisk where you can record on?

There are settop recorders in Japan, but I don't expect them here for another year

but isnt 'here' a blu-ray player yet that can record as a dvd-player?, I mean with that quality
and for those recorders, how can you record something with those?

A little off topic, what ever happened to the PS3s supposed DVR feature? Are we still getting it?

Tentatively scheduled for early 2008 was the last I heard... but only in Europe? Perhaps someone else can clarify this?

is any of those blu-ray recorders cheaper then €1000,-?
